The continued safety, well-being, and success of our students, teachers, staff, and community has always been our top priority as we navigate the complex and evolving coronavirus crisis. To that end, our comprehensive task force has outlined a school reopening plan that includes a return to full-time in-person instruction for students in grades PK-5, 6, and 9, and an alternating schedule with a combination of in-person and synchronous real-time online learning for students in grades 7-8 and 10-12.

Trail Ridge Families,
Great start to the school year! It has been great to see all of our returning students and meet the new 6th graders. Currently, we are at over 700 students at Trail Ridge! Make sure to follow us on Twitter @trmsco. Our goal is to post 1-2 things each day celebrating TRMS and sharing important information. Let's get the word out about Trail Ridge!
Couple of quick things that will help the students be successful. . .
School begins promptly at 7:45am. Students are considered tardy if they arrive to class after this time. While the weather is still nice, the students will be outside in the morning until we open the doors at 7:35. Then they will proceed directly to their first period class. Please help us with our efforts to get the students to school on time!
In addition, unless otherwise involved in a school sponsored activity, all students need to leave campus by 3:00 pm. Please have rides and/or other arrangements made to help us clear the campus. Also, please spend some time reminding your student what their behavior should be like when they are leaving the school grounds and entering our surrounding neighborhoods.
When dropping off or picking up students, please follow the “rules of the road” in our parking lot. Our lot is designed for cars to pull all the way forward to the west side of the lot. By doing this, it allows for more students to be dropped off at once and doesn’t crowd the front of the school. We appreciate your support!
All students are asked to have cell phones turned off and placed in their locker during the school day. This will greatly assist us in reducing the daily distractions that come with these devices. If you need to get a message to your child throughout the day, please contact the school office. The wonderful ladies in the front office are more than willing to help out. Thank you for supporting our efforts to provide the best academic experience for your child!
Finally, we are hoping to see you this Tuesday night for our Back To School Event at 6pm!
Eddie Cloke, Principal
TRMS Back To School Night- Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 21st at
6pm for our annual “Back to School Night.” We set this night aside to give you the opportunity to meet your students’ teachers and get answers to any questions you may have. Parents who introduce themselves to the Principal will be given (1) free Homework Pass for their student (HW Passes are like gold around here!!). We look forward to seeing you!
TRMS iPad Insurance – LTP iPad Insurance window for the 2018-2019 school year opened August 1st and will close on August 27th. Parents who wish to join the insurance pool for this year will need to make at least a partial payment within this window. The 2018-19 Insurance cost is $25.
This optional insurance fee will be added for every student. The fee will be voided if no payment has been made by August 31st. Students with unpaid insurance balances from last year will not have the optional insurance fee automatically added into Infinite Campus for this year. The past due amount must be paid before they can be eligible for this year’s insurance.
100 Mile Club – It’s time once again for Trail Ridge’s 100 Mile Club. Students meet at the track Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00-3:30 pm. The first day of club is Wednesday, September 5. Ms. Elsen and Ms. Thoren look forward to seeing you at the track!
Golf Club - Students interested in learning how to play golf or who already know a little and want to practice their skills can come to an informational meeting to learn about how we do golf at Trail Ridge. Students do not need any experience or equipment to participate. A brief meeting to sign up or learn more about golf will be on Wednesday, August 22nd, right after school, in Ms Terrell's classroom (Room B110).
Co-Ed Soccer - Co-ed soccer registration has begun for all interested 6,7,8 grade boys and girls. If students are interested, registration forms can be obtained at the front office. Partial scholarships are available for those who qualify. You may also register online or in person at the recreation center or centennial pool. Space is limited so hurry and register early! The season will start August 27th.
Leadership St Vrain - We are looking for a member of our school community to participate in Leadership St. Vrain, which is an essential part of the district's community engagement efforts. Please visit the website at http://svvsd.org/lsv to register. This is really a great opportunity!
Family Outreach - The Office of Student Attendance & Engagement is excited to announce the addition of two Family Outreach Liaisons, Savannah Bingamann and Alberto Rodriguez. They can help eligible children and families apply for Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program), Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Please see the links section for more details about the Outreach Family Liaison.
