It has been an outstanding start to the academic year and I want to thank our students, families, teachers, staff and other partners for continuing to support St. Vrain Valley Schools’ drive for excellence in serving our community and advancing public education.
The first quarter has ended and we are very proud of the efforts of our students. We have almost 500 students make the Honor Roll this first quarter, with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0! That is awesome! We will continue to encourage all of our students to do their best and see if we can increase this number in the second quarter.
In this month's issue of the Family Connections Newsletter, we explore Inquiry-Based Learning, Thinking Differently About Digital Devices, and visit with one of our schools as they learn about Slam Poetry with local expert Joaquin Zihuatanejo in partnership with High Plains Library System.
It was great to see all of the families that attended our Parent/Teacher Conferences over the last two weeks. We are always happy to collaborate with parents to make sure the students are doing their best. If you didn’t get a chance to visit with us, don’t hesitate to contact us via phone or email. We are here to help!
Thank you for your partnership as we continue to advance the academic success and well-being of our students. Communication throughout our community is essential to ensuring the ongoing safety of our community. Toward this end, we would like to share important inclement weather information so that your family can be prepared in the event severe weather results in the closure or delay of our schools.
