CMAS 2014 Science and Social Studies student reports are now available in the school office for parent/guardian pick up. Last spring, current sixth grade students took the CMAS Science assessment, and current eighth grade students took the CMAS Social Studies assessment. The information contained in these reports is baseline data and reflect the rigor of the new standards. Please see Marie Chavez in the counseling office to pick up the report for your student.
We are quickly approaching the Thanksgiving Break, scheduled for November 24-28. School will resume on Monday, December 1. We hope everyone has the opportunity to relax and spend time with family.
In an effort to keep our school clean we want students to finish their breakfast Starbucks or other drinks in the commons before going to 1st period. Students are always welcome to bring water to their classes.
This week we had the great opportunity to recognize our students who made the Honor Roll for the first quarter. Trail Ridge Middle School had over 400 students who achieved at least a 3.0 GPA in the first quarter and these students received certificates. Our 4.0 group was 70 students strong and they received their certificates during the Late Start School Spirit Assembly on Wednesday. The students who received 3.5 and 3.0 certificates received theirs on Friday.
Next Wednesday, November 5th is our next Late Start Day. School will begin at 10:15am.
Parents, we need your assistance with something that has become more of an issue recently. We have had some instances where students have been ordering pizzas for delivery during lunch time. Certainly, if parents would like to drop off lunch for students, we welcome that. However, we do not allow students to place orders for delivery during the school day. Thank you for your support!
This coming week we will be sending home over 300 letters with students whoachieved high growth on TCAP last school year! We are very proud of all of ourstudents!
