Youth Family Leadership Civic Learning Lab
The Family Leadership Training Institute (FLTI), leadership and civics training program is for youth teens age 14-18 that OUR Center hosts in Longmont. To date more than 44 people both adults and youth in the community have graduated from our FLTI programs in 2018, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
It is an 8-week program and begins, February 15 and runs through April 4th, 2024. Classes will be held in person at OUR Center 220 Collyer Street, Longmont Colorado on Thursday evenings, 5:00 dinner and class 5:30-7:00 PM at no cost.
The youth classes will focus on Communication and Developing Social-Emotional Management by addressing emotional intelligence, stress management, conflict resolution, and building positive relationships with peers and mentors. Also, they will explore career pathways by introducing them to a diverse range of career options, professions, and industries through interactive sessions and guest speakers.
FLTI is a wonderful leadership and civic-engagement program, highly rated by graduates all over the country, many of whom have gone on to hold leadership positions in their communities. The goal of the program is to help youth become leaders and use their voices to affect the changes they want to see in their communities. Participation in FLTI could benefit youth when applying to colleges. It demonstrates community involvement and employers, and admission officers are often looking for motivated caring people who are involved in their communities.

Half year Tech Insurance is available to current students who did not opt into insurance in Fall 2023. If you do not have Tech Insurance, you can opt in now after an inspection of your student Ipad and payment of the $12.50 fee. Insurance coverage will be for the time period January thru August. This will cover any accidental damage.

Reuniones entre padres y profesores
In-Person conferences will be held on Feb. 12th, and Feb. 13th. Parents will need to sign up for a window of time to attend on any of these days. The windows will be:
15:15 – 15:45
15:45 – 16:15
16:15 – 17:00
17:30 – 18:00
18:00 – 18:30
18:30 – 19:15
