8th Grade Continuation Ceremony

We are excited to share this information about our upcoming 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m. Our Continuation Ceremony is a celebration of all 8th graders as they complete their middle school journey and prepare for their entrance to high school.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. in the school commons. We invite you to join us and encourage you to show up early. At the end of the ceremony, we will hold our traditional student “Clap Out,” a symbolic event where the entire school celebrates our 8th graders for completing their 3 years of middle school. Parents will be invited to join us in this event as well.

Dress code is “Sunday Best”, please dress to impress with formal attire.  School dress code still applies. Here are some basic guidelines to consider:

  • Slacks with a button up shirt, and ties are strongly encouraged.
  • May only wear jeans if part of vaquero dress attire.
  • Spaghetti straps allowed for this event only, please follow district dress code concerning dress length.
  • If you have questions about an outfit, please take a picture and ask a teacher.

Although we will be having a normal school day, parents will have the option to check their students out beginning at noon.  Parents/Guardians will need to come in person and sign their student out if they desire. Otherwise, it will be a normal dismissal at 2:50 p.m.

We are looking forward to celebrating our 8th graders and hope you can join us for this great time!
If you have any questions, please reach out to the front office.
