It’s that time of year again, and all Colorado schools have begun their state testing.  State tests are important for your student’s success.  Because of this, test taking can be very stressful.

They Are the Champions - Spread the Word Against Vandalism

The Longmont Youth Council recently sponsored a citywide contest looking for innovative and creative one-minute videos displaying how to positively take action and spread the word against vandalism. Six young ladies from Mrs. Thaler's STEM Broadcasting class entered and came out on top winning 1st place. The TRMS students were interviewed with Longmont Channel 8 TV news at the Youth Center on March 24th and received a $200 prize to share. Their video will also be aired on a future Channel 8 News cast. Congratulations to Kayla H., Natasha R., Sidney J., Sami P. Jimena A., Kate P.

Registration for the 2015-16 School Year

All 6th and 7th graders registration packets were due with a parent/guardian signature on Friday, March 6th to the office. Any packets returned after the deadline may not receive their top choices. Read more here.

There is No Such Thing as Bad Weather, Just Bad Clothes

Do you ever think about the implications that weather has on city events or your own personal safety? Weather affects our daily activity and lifestyles therefore it is of high importance. Weather objectives that 6th grade students need to meet are:

1. Differentiate between basic and severe weather conditions, and develop an appropriate action plan for personal safety and the safety of others (3.1.a)8

2. Use models to develop and communicate a weather prediction (3.1.c)8
