Trail Ridge Families,

Things are getting really busy around TRMS as we head into October. Please keep track of these following events:

Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for (Tuesday) October 3rd, (Thursday) October 5th, and (Wednesday) October 11th. They take place between 3:15 pm and 7:15 pm each day. You should have received correspondence from one of your child’s teachers through email or a note home. Please remember to sign up for a time slot for conferences.

Additionally, Homework Club is beginning this Monday, October 2nd. It will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3:00-3:30pm. It is a great opportunity for students to have a quiet place to complete homework and get additional help from teachers. Please encourage your student to attend if needed!

Finally, our annual Fun Run is just around the corner. If you are able and willing to help out, please contact Carmen Vaughan, PTO President at

•Wednesday, October 4th is the next Late Start Day of the school year. Students will

begin school at 10:15 am.

•There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 13th or Monday, October 16th. We hope your

family enjoys the long weekend.

Greetings from the PTO!

The school year is off to a great start. It's hard to believe that we're already looking at October! The PTO just wanted to reach out to everyone and pass on a few

important items.

FUN RUN: Coming up on October 12th is the 11th Annual Trail Ridge Fun Run. This is a fun community event. Parents and families are welcome to participate - and we're still looking for volunteers. The event will start with set up at 7:30 am and all events should wrap up by 1:00 pm. More details will be available soon! You can volunteer for all or part of the morning - whatever works for your schedule.

Facebook Page: We've created a Facebook page this year to help parents stay informed about what's happening in the school. Please check it out and follow us there! We're hoping to make that our primary communication tool for parents!

Box Tops: Trail Ridge still collects Box Tops for Education! You or your student can bring them in and drop them in the box in the office. No submission sheets needed - just put them all in a Ziploc bag!

Milk Caps: We also collect Longmont Dairy Milk caps - just rinse your caps out and

drop them in the large deposit box in the main office!

Teacher Needs: All teachers at TRMS are in constant need of tissues! These aren't a

part of the school supply list, but with cold/flu season upon us - we'd appreciate the donation of a box or two if you can! You can drop them at the PTO table on conference nights - or you can take them directly to your student's teachers!

Parent Teacher Conference Meals: The PTO will be catering the meals for teachers this session. If you can help with set up or clean up, or bring a dessert or beverage - please email me or let us know on the FB page!
