From the Principal. . .

It has been a smooth beginning to the school year and great to have the students return to the building! Thank you for helping us get off to a strong start!

This Monday is picture day. All students will have the opportunity to have their picture taken during their elective classes. Remind them to bring their big smile with them!

Also on Monday, we will begin our breakfast service for students. As a reminder, St. Vrain Valley Schools’ Department of Nutrition Services provides quality, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for all students across the district. Once again this year, all SVVSD students will have access to 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch everyday.  You can find answers to FAQ on the district website, as well view the school menus here. For those students who will be eating breakfast, we encourage them to arrive as close to 7:30am as possible.

This week we also begin the Volleyball season. Students can access the QR code around the building to sign up, or see Mr. Walker. Students are encouraged to get involved in an after-school activity. It doesn’t matter if it is athletics, a performing art, student council, or even the popular Robotics Club. Just do something – it will really help you enjoy your middle school experience a ton!

It is great that we get to utilize the iPad as an awesome tool in our educational process. It is the student’s responsibility to take care of the iPad. The device you will be using is for academic purposes only. Make sure it is charged and ready to use each day. Please do not put any games or social media apps on your iPad. The iPad Insurance window runs from August 1st through September 15th. The fee for insurance is $25 and parents who would like to join the insurance pool this year need to make at least a partial payment sometime within the window. Please note that any student with an unpaid balance for iPad insurance from the previous year will not be eligible to join the pool this year until they pay off the previous year’s balance.

Don’t forget the three basic rules at TRMS: “Be Respectful. Be Responsible. Do Your Best.” If you follow these three rules, I am confident you will be successful!

Remember that I am here to help, so if you need something, feel free to email me at [email protected]. You can also reach out to our Asst. Principal, Mr. Matt Coniglio ([email protected]), or either of our School Counselors, Ms. Sara Nazari ([email protected]) and Ms. Tess Hartline ([email protected]).

Sincerely,

Mr. Cloke

Important iPad Updates for the 2025–2026 School Year

St. Vrain’s District Technology Services has made several updates to student iPads for the upcoming school year to support a focused and secure digital learning environment both at school and at home. One key update is the implementation of a new internet filter, Securly, which adds an extra layer of protection to iPads by blocking certain types of websites. For more information about these updates – and what they mean for your child’s device — please click here.
