As an alumni of Frederick Elementary (now Spark! Discovery Pre-K), Imagine Charter School (now Firestone Charter School), and Frederick High School (still Frederick High School), I am blessed to be teaching in the same district I grew up in. My journey in teaching started as a teenager assisting with Sunday school at LIFE Fellowship Frederick. Since then I have taught and worked with kids everywhere from after school programs to summer camps to children's shelters. After my undergraduate at the University of Montana, I made the practical decision to completely change my life goals and get into the education biz. After receiving my master's at the University of Northern Colorado and finishing my student teaching at Coal Ridge, I found myself employed here at Trail Ridge. I am honored to teach language arts, the art of making oneself heard, and social studies, the discipline of respecting the world and its people throughout time. I aim to serve these children with relentless energy, a high standard, and a forgiving spirit. Outside of school, you can find me volunteering at my church, cooking up a fine chicken paprikash, or birdwatching with an intensity that some call depressing but I call enviable.
