From the Principal. . .
Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope your family had a restful winter break and is ready for the exciting months ahead. The start of the second semester is a “fresh start” for every student—a chance to set new goals, build better habits, and finish the school year strong.
To ensure a productive learning environment, we are refocusing on our core school expectations this month. We appreciate your support in reminding your student that:
- Consistency is Key: Arriving on time and prepared for every class sets the tone for the day.
- Respect Matters: Following school rules and showing kindness to peers and staff ensures a safe space for everyone.
- Digital Responsibility: Remember to keep phones away and focus on the lesson during instructional time.
The second semester often brings more challenging coursework. We encourage students to:
- Ask Questions: There is no such thing as a “bad” question. If they are struggling, encourage them to reach out to their teachers early.
- Stay Organized: Check Schoology regularly to stay on top of assignments and deadlines.
- Growth Mindset: It’s not about being perfect; it’s about making progress every single day.
School is about more than just what happens in the classroom! Students who are involved in extracurricular activities often feel more connected to their community and perform better academically. Encourage your students to seek out opportunities to get involved. Girls Basketball season is ending soon, and it will be followed by Wrestling and Track. Additionally, our clubs are still in full motion! There is something for everyone, here at TRMS!
We appreciate your support!
Sincerely,
Mr. Cloke
