From the Principal. . .

TRMS Community,

We hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing, and adventure-filled Spring Break. When we return, we’ll be hitting the ground running as we enter the 4th Quarter. This is the final lap of the school year, and we want to finish strong!

The Academic Push: CMAS Testing

April marks the beginning of CMAS testing. While we know “standardized testing” isn’t exactly a favorite phrase, it is a vital opportunity for our students to show off everything they’ve learned this year.

  • Do Your Best: We aren’t looking for perfection; we’re looking for best effort.
  • Preparation: Ensure your student gets plenty of sleep and a solid breakfast during testing weeks.
  • Encouragement: A little “you’ve got this!” goes a long way in easing those testing jitters.

Finish Strong: Work Hard, Stay Focused

It is easy for “Spring Fever” to set in, but the 4th Quarter is where the most critical learning is solidified. We are encouraging all students to keep their eyes on the prize, stay organized, and keep that work ethic high until the final bell rings.

Fun, Festivities, and Field Trips

The end of the year isn’t all tests and textbooks! We have a packed calendar to celebrate our students’ hard work, including:

  • Student Performances: Get ready to see those talents shine on stage.
  • Field Trips & End-of-Year Activities: Celebrations to cap off a fantastic school year.

A Note on Behavior – With all these exciting events, maintaining excellent behavior is more important than ever. Participation in many end-of-year activities is a privilege, and we want every student to be there to enjoy them. Let’s keep the focus on respect, responsibility, and kindness so we can make these memories together safely.

Let’s make this final quarter the best one yet!

Reach out if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

Mr. Cloke, Principal

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool

St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.

After spring break, parents and guardians will receive an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.

Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.

988 Colorado Mental Health Line

A new state law requires schools to share information about the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line. The service provides free, confidential support 24/7 from trained specialists through calls, texts, or live chats. Families can learn more by visiting 988Colorado.com.
