Welcome back!! We are gearing up for the start of the new school year. Hopefully, everyone has enjoyed a nice summer season!
We are set to invite all 6th grade students, as well as new 7th and 8th grade students, to school on Wednesday, August 16th for the first day of school. We will begin promptly at 7:45 a.m. with our traditional clap-in event. Returning 7th and 8th grade students will begin on Thursday, August 17th. School begins every day at 7:45 a.m. We will open the doors for early arrivers at 7:30 a.m. To reduce congestion upon arrival, we ask that 6th graders utilize the doors on the south side, 7th graders enter on the west side, and 8th graders enter through the patio doors on the east side.
St. Vrain Valley Schools Department of Nutrition Services provides quality, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for all students across the district. This year, SVVSD has opted into Healthy School Meals For All. This means students have access to 1 free breakfast and 1 free lunch daily. You can find answers to FAQ on the district website, as well as view the school menus here. Additionally, all families who believe they may qualify for free or reduced-price meals should still complete an application before August 16th. Applications can be accessed on the district website or in the front office and are continuously accepted and processed throughout the school year (families are invited to apply or reapply at any time).
Specifically, breakfast will begin on Monday, August 21st. For those students who will be eating breakfast, we encourage them to arrive as close to 7:30 a.m. as possible. Lunch will be offered the first day of school.
It is great that we get to utilize the iPad as an awesome tool in our educational process. It is the student’s responsibility to take care of the iPad. The device you will be using is for academic purposes only. Make sure it is charged and ready to use each day. Please do not put any games or social media apps on the iPad. The iPad Insurance window runs from August 1st through September 15th. The fee for insurance is $25 and parents who would like to join the insurance pool this year will need to make at least a partial payment sometime within the window. We will be hosting our Back-To-School event on Tuesday, August 15 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. This will be an informal event and a great opportunity for you to meet your teachers prior to the start of school. Stop on by and enjoy a popsicle with us!
Students are encouraged to get involved in an after-school activity. It doesn’t matter if it is athletics, a performing art, student council, or even the popular Robotics Club. Just do something – it will really help you enjoy your middle school experience a ton!
Don’t forget the three basic rules at TRMS: “Be Respectful. Be Responsible. Do Your Best.” If you follow these three rules, I am confident you will be successful!

Back to School Night
Our annual Back to School Night will take place on Tuesday, August 15th, 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. We set this night aside to give you the opportunity to meet your student’s teachers…and enjoy a popsicle! Students who introduce themselves to the Principal will receive a Grizzly Ticket!

Crayons to Calculators
Backpacks and school kit supplies are available for pickup at the office to ensure that students start the year off right. Supplies are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Student Ipad Insurance
The LTP Student iPad Insurance window for the 2023-2024 school year opens August 1st and closes on September 15th. Parents who wish to join the insurance pool for this year will need to make at least a partial payment within this window.
This insurance fee will be added on Infinite Campus for every eligible student (K-12) on August 1st. Please note that any student with an unpaid balance for iPad insurance from the previous year will not be eligible to join the pool this year until they pay off the previous year’s balance.
2023-2024 LTP Student iPad Insurance: $25 (Payments may be made online or via cash or check at the school office.)
The iPad insurance fee will be reduced or waived for students eligible for a free or reduced price lunch.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal
Infinite Campus Parent Portal accounts will be created for all families who do not already have an active account for the start of the school year. If you need assistance with your account (i.e., password reset, user name), please call feel free to call the office at 720-494-3820 for help.
Online Learning Resources and Instructions for Infinite Campus Parent Portal, Schoology, etc.
It is very important that you are able to access Infinite Campus for updates, grades and attendance, and equally important that we have correct household information, including an accurate email address. Please log into Infinite Campus and review your summary page (contact information, emails, emergency contacts, etc.) and update your information to ensure that you receive information from Trail Ridge and SVVSD. You can update some of your information within your parent portal account under the personal information tab or contact the office with your changes.
Back to School Store Rally at AFW. As a partner, Trail Ridge benefits from purchases at American Furniture Warehouse ANYTIME OF THE YEAR, but help us maximize our annual donation by shopping at AFW through August. Just mention your school at check-out.
