Bio: I'm so excited for my 6th year at TRMS! Interestingly, I originally became interested in becoming a special education teacher while studying Fine Arts for my under graduate degree at Syracuse University. I focused on children's book illustration, which led me to love working with children in a different way. I've since completed my Masters degree in Special Education at the University of Northern Colorado. When I'm not at the school, I love getting out and enjoying all of the amazing outdoor adventures that Colorado has to offer with my husband, Patrick, and our dog, Bella. Fun fact: Bella is the only sponsored athelete in our family! Our favorite activities include trail running in the mountains, horseback riding, fly fishing, SUPing (stand up paddle boarding), and skijoring (it's like dog sledding, but on skis instead of a sled). I've currently run two road marathons, a trail marathon, and four mountain 50ks in Colorado (about 32 miles). I'm also passionate about watercolor painting, reading, and gardening.
