Hello Grizzlies! I am excited to be teaching the Multilingual Learners (MLs) at TRMS this year. I am a Colorado native who loves to travel and learn. I have lived and taught English in 5 countries and traveled to 34 countries. I have been teaching English to MLs for over 20 years. I grew up loving to learn about literature, languages, and cultures. Thus, it didn't take me long to realize that I felt a spark when talking about literature, languages, and cultures, which led me to become a teacher. As an educator, I believe in building relationships with students first, which makes school more enjoyable for the students and draws out the uniqueness of each student-their leadership, resilience, interests, friendships, and quirks. While teaching, I get to see students' eyes light up when we talk about the differences between the verbs in English and their languages and see them get confused when we talk about the differences between discrete and discreet. I never forget that I am a student; I'm always learning. I love traveling, teaching English, and Colorado. Go Grizzlies!!!
