- It's so great to be back at TRMS for my second year! This my 20th year in education. My first 18 years of teaching was at the elementary level. I have always worked in special education. I knew I wanted to be a special education teacher after coaching Special Olympics while I was in college. It was the most rewarding experience and led me to want to start a Unified Special Olympics team here at Trail Ridge. I graduated from Western Washington University with both a bachelor's and master's degree. My bachelor's degree is in both general education and special education. My master's degree is in literacy. When I am not teaching, I am home with my husband, my daughter and our dog Beau. We enjoy working out often as well as hiking with Beau whenever we can. I look forward to another great year here at Trail Ridge
