Superintendent's Update - October 2017

Dear St. Vrain Valley Community,

It has been an outstanding start to the academic year and I want to thank our students, families, teachers, staff and other partners for continuing to support St. Vrain Valley Schools’ drive for excellence in serving our community and advancing public education. 

Parent Newsletter--October 27, 2017

Trail Ridge Families,

The first quarter has ended and we are very proud of the efforts of our students. We have almost 500 students make the Honor Roll this first quarter, with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0! That is awesome! We will continue to encourage all of our students to do their best and see if we can increase this number in the second quarter.

It was great to see all of the families that attended our Parent/Teacher Conferences over the last two weeks. Communication throughout our community is essential to ensuring the ongoing safety of our community. Toward this end, we would like to share important inclement weather information so that your family can be prepared in the event severe weather results in the closure or delay of our schools.

Things are getting really busy around TRMS as we head into October. Please keep track of these following events:

Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for (Tuesday) October 3rd, (Thursday) October 5th, and (Wednesday) October 11th. They take place between 3:15 pm and 7:15 pm each day. You should have received correspondence from one of your child’s teachers through email or a note home. Please remember to sign up for a time slot for conferences.

A Note from the Principal

Trail Ridge Families,

Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for (Tuesday) Oct. 3, (Thursday) Oct. 5, and (Wednesday) Oct. 11. They take place between 3:15 pm and 7:15 pm each day. Beginning next week, teachers will be emailing out a link to Signup Genius where you can signup for a timeslot for a conference. You will only need to sign up for one timeslot per student to receive information regarding all of your students’ classes.

On August 21, students across St. Vrain Valley Schools experienced the 'Great American Eclipse' through district-provided safety viewing glasses, indoor live-streaming and immersive classroom activities.
