TRMS Families, We will begin the Colorado Measure of Academic Success (CMAS) testing this coming Monday. The purpose of these tests are to help us indicate the degree to which students have mastered the expectations of the Colorado Academic Standards in each content area. These results provide one measure of a student’s academic progress. All three grade levels will take the tests for both Math and Language Arts, while 8th grade also completes the test in Science. The students and teachers have been working diligently this year and we are looking forward to their success on these assessments. As we prepare for CMAS, you can help us be successful in a couple of ways.

  • We will begin testing first thing in the morning, so we need students to arrive promptly at 7:45 a.m.

  • Provide an opportunity and encourage the students to get plenty of rest throughout the testing week.

  • We cannot allow any electronic devices (cell phones, smartwatches, earbuds) in the testing rooms. It would be very helpful to us if you have students leave these at home over the next two weeks as to not interfere with our testing environment. We will need to collect these items from any student who does bring them to school during our testing window.

  • And, as always, encourage your students to do their very best on each test. They have already done the hard work, this is just the opportunity for them to show what they know!

Thank you for your help as we work together to lead the students of TRMS to success! Remember to reach out if you have any questions. Enjoy your weekend!
